Information we collect and display

OwesGov is an independent research website displaying historical PPP loan records from the SBA public dataset. Records include borrower names, business addresses, loan amounts, dates, lenders, and reported status.

Removal requests collect the loan number, business name, your name and email, optional reason, IP address, submission time, and processing history. Contact messages contain the information you provide. Please do not send passwords, Social Security numbers, or financial account details.

Service logs may include IP addresses, URLs and search terms, timestamps, browser information, and errors. Administrator accounts store email addresses, password hashes, and authentication information. Correction and deletion audit records include the administrator, changes, reason, and time.

Use and retention

We use this information to operate the website, respond to requests, process corrections and removals, diagnose errors, and protect administration tools. Removal requests, correction history, and deletion instructions persist separately from public loan data so changes can be reapplied after a reload.

The application currently has no automatic expiry for removal requests or administrative audit records. Deletion instructions are retained to prevent removed listings from returning. Removing a public listing does not automatically erase its processing history.

Analytics, advertising, and sharing

Public pages load Google Analytics. Public pages outside the legal section may also load Google AdSense. These services may receive device and usage information, including IP addresses, and use cookies or similar identifiers. Advertising may be personalized depending on Google's settings and applicable choices. Legal pages do not load AdSense, but still load Analytics.

See how Google uses information from partner sites. Fonts and other assets also load from third-party providers, which receive connection information. Service providers process information needed for their services. We may disclose information when required by law.

Choices and requests

See our Cookie Policy for browser and Google controls. Privacy rights depend on your location and applicable law. Email [email protected] for privacy questions or access, correction, or deletion requests. Verification may be necessary.

Use the removal form for public listing removal. OwesGov changes do not alter SBA records, lender records, other websites, or copies already collected by others.

Security and updates

Administrative access requires authentication, and administrator passwords are stored as hashes. No online service can guarantee complete security. Policy changes are published here with an updated date.
